Mr. Joseph Vall-Llobera
Joseph Vall-Llobera is a career financial regulator and currently serves as Director of Examinations with the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta responsible for overseeing a team of specialized examiners supervising significant bank service providers. Joseph’s experience includes leading examination teams of banks engaged in distributed ledger technology, digital asset initiatives, and bank-fintech partnerships, as well as coordinating with policy makers to adapt the Federal Reserve’s supervisory strategy and policies to current innovations. Previously, Joseph directed examination teams supervising operational and enterprise risk management programs at large domestic and foreign banking organizations and has held various examiner leadership roles at the Federal Reserve Banks of New York and Atlanta spanning from community banks to global financial institutions. Joseph also served as an advisor to systemically important financial institutions on capital stress testing and resolution planning regulatory initiatives while at Ernst & Young. Joseph holds an MBA from Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business and a B.A. in Finance from the College of William & Mary, and is a Commissioned Bank Examiner within the Federal Reserve System.
